Why Books?

Knowledge is power, a phrase from Sir Francis Bacon, but seems to continue to hold true. Through our lives we bring information into our brains through what we see, hear, feel, taste and smell. As we, at Second Act Sisters, have spent years in education, books have played a central role in our lives. This is our first blog and really a new experience, so we did a little soul searching and realized that we seek out information through books, that we read or write, through movies/TV and through our interpersonal relationships and experiences we have gathered through a lifetime of living and working. In this, our second career, we will share what we have learned and encourage you to braving go out into the world making it a better place for those around you and for yourself.
